Process insurance claims and billing activities accurately and timely.

Review and submit claims while identifying and resolving billing issues.

Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances according to established procedures.

Research claim denials and work with insurance companies to resolve payment issues.

Prepare documentation for appeals and reimbursement requests.

Maintain accurate financial and billing records within the electronic medical record (EMR) and billing systems.

Communicate with internal departments and external payers to ensure timely claim resolution.

Assist with departmental reporting, audits, and quality improvement activities.

Participate in team meetings and support department initiatives.

Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience in medical billing, healthcare revenue cycle, insurance claims processing, accounts receivable, or medical office operations preferred.

Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) and computerized billing systems preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze billing information and resolve problems independently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with professionalism.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

Ability to successfully complete required background checks.
