Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a NICU environment, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols. The role involves working in a Level 3 NICU with flexibility to float within designated facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, monitoring vital signs and clinical status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress using Epic charting systems.
• Assist with neonatal procedures and respond promptly to emergent clinical situations.
• Float to satellite locations within scope to meet facility staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active California RN license with recent NICU Level 3 or higher experience (minimum 3 years).
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with Epic electronic medical record systems.
• Possess BLS and NRP certifications.
• Be willing to work 3x12 night or day shifts with flexibility to cover weekends.
• Have travel experience and the ability to float within scope of practice.
• Show excellent clinical skills in neonatal intensive care.
