Data Center Technician

Job Title Data Center Technician-IT Technician (Contract) Location Cheyenne, WY (Full onsite) Responsibilities Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to instructions, checklists, standard protocols, and emails. Perform post‑execution quality checks and verify grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling meet safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs). Diagnose and troubleshoot following standard procedures, quickly identify causes of issues, and replace faulty components. Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance. Communicate, report, and, if necessary, elevate incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. 1+ year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays. Previous datacenter experience (preferred). Top Secret clearance required for all roles. Benefits & Compensation Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour.
