Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, organization, and other daily kitchen duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Responsibilities
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep food preparation areas, counters, floors, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Properly store food, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
- Take out trash and maintain waste and recycling areas.
- Restock ingredients, utensils, and supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Help receive and organize food and supply deliveries.
- Assist kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and food-safety practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and carrying supplies.
- Availability to work required shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
