Head of Surety Department

This is a remote position.

This is a remote, full‑time role for t he Head of Surety Department will lead and oversee all aspects of the Surety division, driving strategic initiatives, managing operations, and fostering relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing and implementing department goals, overseeing underwriting processes, analyzing market trends, and leading risk assessments. The role also involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall growth and success of SuretyScience.

• Advanced degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in leveraging technology, including familiarity with AI-powered tools and data-driven decision-making.
• Implements strategic plans for the production team, assesses risk quality, and reviews staff underwriting decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of the Surety insurance market, underwriting processes, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Proven ability to navigate regulatory and compliance requirements effectively.
• Strong leadership and management experience, including the ability to oversee teams and guide strategic direction.
• Track record demonstrating a commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
