Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description Our Plasma Center Nurse (Medical Support Specialist) supports plasma center operations as part of BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self‑exclusion. Perform medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing and review serological protein electrophoresis results. Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and donor transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, determine further evaluation needs by occupational health or EHS, and refer to EHS guidance. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalence of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Satisfactorily complete the FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
