X-Ray Technologist

Position Summary Sign on Bonus: $2,500. This full‑time role (40 hrs/week) is headquartered in Naperville, with additional shifts at multiple locations. Work hours vary: Monday‑Friday shifts range from 7:00am‑8:00pm; every fifth weekend, Saturday & Sunday 8:00am‑4:00pm. Holidays and travel as needed. Responsibilities Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs (x-rays) under direction of a Radiologist Position patient on the exam table, adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation Move x‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjust controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patient and staff Obtain and document patient’s pertinent history Maintain crash cart and inventory, keeping it stocked per OSHA regulations Perform other projects and duties related to departmental objectives Function as a team player, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules Report to lead technologist for work assignments Assist with film quality control Work evening and holiday shifts as required for departmental operation Assist and relieve manager by expediting patient workflow through the department Qualifications Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent two‑year college/technical school education, or 6months–2years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Registration with AART and eligibility for IDNS license, or IDNS license holder CPR certification Minimum 6 months to 2 years related experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
