Responsibilities will include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting as well as supervision and teaching of Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students.UNLV physicians are academic faculty who provide excellent compassionate care to a large and diverse community in the Las Vegas valley. With a group practice, UNLV Health provides care to more than 10,000 patients per month in its 17 primary care and specialty care clinics, and its partner hospitals.For more information, visit us on line at: Qualifications**The successful candidate must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and successfully completed an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency training, and an ACGME accredited Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship training. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology prior to the start date. Candidates must be able to possess and maintain a Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA License. Nevada medical license must be obtained prior to the start date, malpractice coverage meeting credentialing requirements and must be able to obtain privileges as University Medical Center (UMC) and other site locations as needed. Finalists may be subject to a background check. The candidate's educational credentials, terminal degree, experience in an academic medical institution or equivalency will be considered in determining the candidate’s recommended rank. The SOM Faculty Appointment, Promotion and Tenure (FAPT) Committee will use the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV (SOM) promotion criteria to recommend the rank to the Dean of the SOM.
