Controller - VP

Responsibilities Kforce's client, a fast-growing, NJ-based tech firm is seeking a VP Controller. Summary: In this demanding and rewarding role, you will report to the CFO and work closely with a talented team of CPA's and accounting professionals. The position offers unlimited professional challenges and a very competitive compensation package which includes equity. A hybrid work schedule is available. Requirements CPA 12+ years of progressive accounting experience (combo of public and private accounting experience highly preferred) Experienced with Financial Reporting and SEC Compliance including preparation of detailed financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in compliance with SEC, FASB, and PCAOB regulations, as well as handling Form 10-K and 10-Q filings and XBRL issues Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and key principles of application for a wide array of finance and accounting areas Superior technical accounting knowledge and exposure is essential in areas including but not limited to: ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805 and complex scenarios including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and M&A accounting Strong Internal Controls and Compliance exposure is required; Able to design and maintain internal controls over financial reporting Expertise in ERP and General Ledger systems (SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft preferred), with proficiency in reconciliation software and SEC reporting tools like Wdesk are preferred The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
