Sterling Personnel Inc. is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our client. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care.


Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain/update vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
• Administer injections, medications, and treatments as directed by the provider
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (eClinical, Phreesia)
• Handle patient phone calls, messages, referrals, and prescription refill requests
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and cleanliness standards
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (eClinical, Phreesia)
• Basic Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Professional communication and positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy medical environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
