Monitors the outcomes of professional development training to identify future needs. Interprets a variety of data from assessments and observations in order to identify ways to improve student achievement and behavior. Guides teachers through a process of reflection and continuous improvement.EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSValid IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.M. A. with emphasis in educational administration or related fields.Supervisor or Educational Leadership certificatePrincipals cert required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties that may be assigned:Leads the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) on a school campus.Supports teachers in the implementation of academic standards as well as behavior interventions.Provides support in assessing effectiveness of implementation and assist with interpretation of data to make instructional and behavioral decisions.Observes classroom practices and gives immediate feedback to refine instructional/behavior approaches.Supports job-embedded, ongoing professional development of teachers, administrators, and other instructional staff.Connects classroom teachers to needed resources and supplemental materials.Conducts ongoing assessment of professional development needs based on classroom observations and student achievement results; both academically and behaviorally.Models desired "best practices" within teachers' classrooms.Provides support to parent education and other home/school connection initiatives.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
