Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-call required (up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks) | Up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks | Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics within a high-volume, 21-suite OR environment
• Perform both scrub and circulator roles as trained and assigned to meet unit needs
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and charting
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units or sister facilities as required
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency surgical cases as needed
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• Radiation Badge required (provided by agency)
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center setting required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with a wide range of surgical specialties including robotics and transplant
• Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic teaching facility
