Quality Manager Position Summary:Receiving Inspector will be responsible for conducting detailed dimensional and visual inspections on critical parts, assemblies, and raw material. Inspector will be required to document their inspection findings, produce the necessary documentation and reports, establishing acceptance or rejection. The inspection involves using tools such as; calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic knowledge of the requirements, maintenance, and implementation of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 guidelines a must. Essential Job Functions:Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions as applicableUses basic measuring tools to validate incoming productUse of internal and online databases to recall and input data, reference drawings and specificationsVerifies the data stated on material or hardware certifications matches the requirementsPhysically confirm that incoming hardware and parts received from outside processing is conforming by measuring and counting the parts when required.Performs essential inventory control functions, stocking parts, cycle counts, labeling product, etc.….Knowledge & Skills:Experienced in blueprint and drawing reading, surface plate inspection, and inspection equipmentAbility to understand customer specifications and requirementsAbility to understand certificate of conformances to ensure they meet blueprint/purchase order requirementsEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenGood organizational skillsEducation and Experience:High school graduate or equivalent, Minimum 2 years experience in receiving inspection or as a quality inspector.

Manufacturing, Government Contracting, Aviation, and/or Defense Industry experience a plus.Physical Requirements:Stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must have close visual acuity.
