Project Control Specialist

This is an intermediate level position on a Project Controls team. Workers at this level are responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project cost control assignments with general oversight. This individual will be expected to work with a small team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers. Job Description Perform cost analysis, forecasting, change control, and reporting for a portfolio of projects with annual budgets totaling tens of millions of dollars. Compare monthly actual costs against project baselines, identify variances, and monitor baseline plans alongside fiscal budgets. Generate periodic project controls analytics and reporting to support project performance tracking. Analyze, verify, and validate project data to develop key project controls metrics. Distribute and maintain project controls analyses and documentation in accordance with established processes. Partner closely with a senior Project Controls Lead to support project execution and reporting activities. Qualifications Develop a foundational understanding of budgets, direct and indirect labor charges, accruals, overheads, amortization, and cost allocations. Apply strong problem‑solving and technical skills to analyze and integrate large datasets from multiple databases and systems. Utilize analytical abilities to support cost control activities and project financial reporting. Prior experience in a PMO environment or on a project controls team is preferred but not required.
