Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with moderate disabilities
• Demonstrated skill in classroom management, employing positive interventions and structured supports
• Ability to adapt general education curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially working with therapists, support staff, and families
• Organized with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and data

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and adapt lessons to facilitate functional life, social, and basic academic skills for students
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Manage classroom behaviors through positive reinforcement and other structured behavioral interventions
• Maintain timely and comprehensive documentation of student progress and pertinent data
• Serve as a primary point of contact for families, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and plans, and ensuring open communication about student needs
