Senior Data Engineer

Location: Burlington, NJ (Hybrid) Salary: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 USD Annually Position Overview Self‑driven, highly motivated Data Engineer to join a growing team of data practitioners at Client. The role is part of the Enterprise Data and Analytics team, supporting business areas such as Merchandising, Allocations, Marketing, IT and Supply Chain Analytics. Responsibilities include pulling data from internal and external sources and preparing it for advanced analytics, segmentation, and AI/ML modeling. Responsibilities Design and develop ETL to extract data from first‑ and third‑party sources, stitch and wrangle data for advanced analytics, AI/ML and GenAI use cases. Lead development of data pipelines to enable real‑time, high‑volume data consumption. Collaborate with analytics translators, data scientists and cloud engineers to apply data‑engineering best practices. Research and onboard first‑ and third‑party data sources to ensure relevant data availability. Advise cloud engineers on data management and architecture solutions. Provide ongoing operational support for ETL/ELT environments– development, testing, production. Implement and deploy data loaders for cloud data platforms. Pull, filter, tag, join, parse and normalize datasets for analysis. Mentor junior team members. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for real‑time data consumption. Implement source control with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Leverage Snowflake, Oracle databases, Azure and ADLS for data architecture. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics or related field. 5+ years designing and implementing large‑scale data loading, manipulation, processing, analysis, and exploration solutions. Extensive experience with SQL‑based data processing. 5+ years experience with Data Architecture, Data Warehouse, Lake House, Data Lake, and Data Mart for AI/ML and LLM applications. Proficiency with Snowflake, Oracle Databases, Azure, ADLS. Experience developing RESTful APIs. Source control proficiency with GitHub and CI/CD. Advanced SQL skills and database normalization.
