Internal Medicine Physician

Internal Medicine physician job in California :

A health services network is actively seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for a Collaborating Remote role with their growing team. In this role, the Collaborating Physician will provide clinical oversight and regulatory supervision for employed Nurse Practitioners supporting virtual primary care and Remote Patient Monitoring services.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business
• Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical oversight for employed Nurse Practitioners in accordance with state collaboration requirements
• Conduct quarterly chart reviews and review a limited number of charts every three months, as appropriate to state requirements and volume
• Participate in required physician-APP meetings
• Ensure compliance with state-specific supervision and delegation requirements
• Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical best practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum of approximately 5 years of post-training clinical experience
• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Clean malpractice and disciplinary history
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to comply with state supervision regulations

Desired Skills:

• Active licenses in multiple states
• Licensure in both California and Texas
• Primary Care or Internal Medicine experience
• Experience managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, and cardiovascular disease
• Previous experience in telehealth, virtual care, or Remote Patient Monitoring
• Available supervision capacity for additional Nurse Practitioners

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
