About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS and ONS/ONCC Must-Have: 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers are accepted. Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics. Infusion RN needed for Infusion Center / Outpatient Oncology to complete Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, IV Therapy, and Infusions. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Familiarity with Epic charting system is required. Scrub color: Navy Blue. Description: This position involves caring for patients receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy. The role requires administering IV therapy and managing infusion-related tasks. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, monitoring chemotherapy, and recognizing/managing side effects. Strong patient and family education skills are necessary for supporting patients through their treatment journey. It's crucial to demonstrate phlebotomy skills and provide oral administration of chemotherapy as needed. Candidates must be available to work rotating call shifts on weekends. If assigned to a major holiday period, the traveler is expected to work a specified number of holidays. Onboarding compliance is mandatory for a timely start. Clinical screening will be conducted to assess fit within guidelines.
