We specialize in vegetation management equipment, catering to the arborist industry, and are the largest dealer in the world for Bandit Industries’ market‑leading product line of woodchippers, stump grinders and whole‑tree chippers. We have six locations across the Western U.S., including California, Oregon, and Washington. Role Description As a Service Technician Mechanic, you will work on commercial woodchippers, stump grinders, mini skid steers, and large horizontal grinders. Some travel may be required for repairs onsite at customer locations. Requirements 3+ years of hands‑on experience with construction or heavy diesel equipment, specifically focusing on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting complex electrical and hydraulic schematics. Proven ability to troubleshoot machine breakdowns using computer diagnostic software. Ability to generate clear parts requisitions and detailed service work orders. Must possess a valid driver’s license (clean record), a complete personal toolset, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings. Key Responsibilities Perform factory‑recommended preventative maintenance and conduct thorough safety inspections to identify wear or damage. Provide expert‑level electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnosis and repair across a diverse fleet. Utilize schematics and diagnostic software to service equipment from CAT, John Deere, Cummins, Kohler, PSI, Perkins, Vanguard, Honda, and others. Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed (experience in this area is a significant plus).
