Payroll Specialist

Payroll Processor - Contract-to-Hire Opportunity Paid per hour - DOE Location: Austin, TX an experienced Payroll Processor to support a large organization in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment. This role will be responsible for processing payroll for thousands of employees across multiple states, supporting both salaried and hourly populations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll execution. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. Experience with UKG / UltiPro is a plus but not a must. Key Responsibilities: Process full-cycle payroll for a large employee population, including both salaried and hourly employees Manage multi-state payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Review payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate employee payments Support payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and payroll-related inquiries Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve payroll issues Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits and reporting requirements Assist with process improvements in a fast-paced payroll environment Qualifications: 2+ years of payroll processing experience required Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment preferred Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and compliance requirements Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees Canadian payroll experience is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Contract-to-hire opportunity Competitive hourly pay based on experience and market Opportunity to convert to a permanent position with excellent benefits, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Additional company benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
