We are hiring immediately.Hospitality Health ER is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join our team in Tyler, TX. The ideal candidate will provide proficient, accurate, and detail-oriented support to ensure high-quality medical record management.ResponsibilitiesGather documents and information from paper sources and/or electronic health recordsAssemble medical records in standard order, ensuring they are complete and accurateStore files in designated areas according to established medical record proceduresMaintain strict HIPAA compliance while upholding the highest standards of patient privacy and integrityCreate digital images of paperwork for storage in the electronic medical record databaseRespond to medical records requests in a timely manner in a fast-paced environmentComplete daily shift responsibilities including cleaning, stocking, and organizingPromote a positive work environment through professional communication with patients, visitors, and staffPerform other clerical tasks as assigned (answering phones, faxing, scanning, etc.)Requirements & QualificationsSuperior organizational skillsBasic understanding of medical terminologyFamiliarity with HIPAA medical privacy regulations and practicesAbility to perform basic office functions (faxing, emailing, scanning) with little to no assistanceBasic operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience as a Medical Records Clerk in a medical setting preferredOne year of medical records processing experience preferredPay & BenefitsNight shift differential401K with company matchAdditional benefits available for full-time employeesJob description statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job title.
