Patient Logistics Coordinator / RN

Role Overview: The Patient Logistics Coordinator RN manages patient admissions across the healthcare system, utilizing clinical expertise to ensure appropriate and timely placement. Responsibilities include conducting initial admission screenings, triage assessments, prioritizing patient flow, and facilitating communication among hospitals, physicians, and staff. The role involves independent decision-making, monitoring systemic barriers to throughput, and collaborating on capacity management to optimize patient care and resource utilization. Key Duties Coordinate admission, transfer, and consultation of patients from various healthcare facilities Perform clinical assessments, prioritize patient needs, and assign transfer levels Document patient information accurately and adhere to departmental policies Act as liaison among healthcare providers, ensuring efficient patient flow Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and quality initiatives Identify barriers to patient throughput, recommend improvements, and elevate issues when necessary Participate in bed management, capacity coordination, and resource allocation Build collaborative relationships with clinical teams and external parties Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively in various formats Qualifications Active RN license, graduate of an accredited nursing program, with at least 3 years of clinical experience in acute care. Proficiency in EMTALA, strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential. Preferred experience includes ED or Critical Care settings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
