Restaurant Manager

Salary: $80K - $90K DOE Responsible for overall operation of the food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, room service, banquets, catering, lounge, and beverage department. Duties include hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, financial success, and enforcing hotel service standards. Work Hours Flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs. Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions. Job Requirements Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. Prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision. Detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently. Effective verbal and written communication in the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills. Physical ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift regularly. Adherence to safety requirements, including PPE and other tools/equipment. Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions. Clear thinker, calm under pressure, and problem-solving using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly and understand guest service needs. Knowledge of state liquor regulations and all health and food safety regulations. Job Responsibilities Hold financial responsibility for the department’s performance. Prepare and control the hotel budget for the department. Collaborate with banquet supervisor to manage full operations of banquets and catering. Monitor departmental, payroll, and supply expenses against budgetary goals. Ensure staff follow proper procedures for ordering, pouring, and cashiering. Coordinate all group reservations across restaurant, banquet, and bar. Maintain monthly beverage inventory and manage liquor room and cooler inventory logs. Set up and monitor food and beverage events and promotions. Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff prior to station assignments. Communicate daily with department managers and MOD to maintain consistency. Provide ongoing performance monitoring, feedback, and counseling for associates. Handle all administrative work related to interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, and terminations. Select qualified, goal-oriented individuals and develop them with clear guidelines. Maintain high standards of service quality and courtesy to achieve total guest satisfaction. Control inventory of uniforms, supplies, and equipment. Prepare and post weekly staff schedules based on guest needs and availability. Carry out supervisory responsibilities per hotel policy and applicable laws. Ensure all staff are safety-conscious and trained in safe work practices. Maintain knowledge of hotel fire regulations, accident reporting, and safety programs. Facilitate departmental training modules and continuously improve training content. Participate in the Hotel Manager on Duty program. Maintain TIPS and Food Safety certifications as required. Follow the 4 Keys service standards, SOPs, and safety standards. Adhere to attendance and reliability standards. Perform all other duties assigned by management.
