As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. DayTimeTue02:15 PM - 10:15 PMWed02:15 PM - 10:15 PMThur02:45 PM - 10:15 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, documenting patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly campus environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, or access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
