Your role includes patient positioning, instructing on breathing techniques, and selecting appropriate technical factors tailored to patient needs.ResponsibilitiesProvide prompt and compassionate care to every patient encountered.Operate X-Ray and CT equipment following health and safety regulations and departmental protocols.Perform clerical duties such as patient reception, documentation, charging, and exam sign-out.Assist with patient scheduling for various imaging modalities including Mammography, MRI, and Ultrasound.Maintain sterile techniques to prevent contamination.Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs.Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.Attend departmental meetings and contribute to infection control by maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms.Enter patient information into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and support special projects as assigned.Education and ExperienceGraduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. At least one year of radiologic technologist experience is preferred.Licenses and CertificationsRegistration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent registry as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist is required within one year of hire.Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the state Department of Health.BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.Skills and AbilitiesComprehensive knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and maintenance.Ability to adapt exams to patient needs and resolve issues effectively.Understanding of age-specific growth, development, and life stages to tailor patient care.Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, PACS, and RIS software.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and team members.Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work on-call shifts as assigned.Work EnvironmentThis position offers 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek schedule.
