Backend Software Engineer (Python or PHP)

Salary: $109,759.26 - 164,638.89 per year Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience with Python and Django
• Experience developing RESTful APIs with Django
• Experience with PHP
• Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and AWS, including ownership of large-scale production deployments for critical backend services
• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience; related coursework or extensive professional experience may also be considered
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience
• AdTech or advertising industry experience is a bonus

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate software solutions aligned with business needs
• Analyze system requirements and customize applications to support optimal functionality
• Help update existing applications and roll out software releases
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence and knowledge sharing
• Work with Quality Assurance to verify software against technical specifications and deliver reliable applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in software applications and systems
• Use market research and industry trends to inform project strategies and product improvements
• Train operational staff to use internally developed applications effectively
• Participate across the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and application integration
• Contribute to code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote engineering best practices
• Apply independent judgment and discretion to significant matters
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance and be available for nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed
