Skilled Laborer

Overview Skilled Laborer role at Onni Group of Companies . The Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. Duties may include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, assembling scaffolding or other equipment, as well as the safe operation of scissor lifts and Bobcats. The Laborer performs physical labor throughout the building process. What You Will Do Responsible for the demolition of building structures and MEP equipment. Loads and unloads materials and equipment. Builds and takes down scaffolding and temporary structures. Digs trenches, compacts earth and backfills holes. Operates and tends machinery and heavy equipment. Follows instructions from supervisors and implements construction plans. Assists skilled tradespeople in their duties. Maintains site cleanliness and order, meeting sanitation standards. Reads and interprets safety and employment manuals and other work-related documents. Assists in team efforts and complies with safety regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. What You Bring Ability to perform physical labor. Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures. Highly motivated and able to work independently. Ability to follow directions. Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Good reading skills (preferred). OSHA 10 certified (preferred but not mandatory). Proficient with power/hand tools and trained in use of scissor lifts and telehandlers.
