Our Virginia State Parks' Business and Revenue Division is accepting applications for a Business Operations Coordinator position. Provide business analysis and recommendations to park managers. Oversee statewide cabin, campground, venue rentals, equipment rental, and special events revenue growth. Develop new revenue streams and ensure revenue operations align with mission and sustainability goals. Expand revenue-generating offerings and support revenue event operations. Evaluate concessions contracts and serve as the enterprise resource for contract management. Conduct at least 18 on-site visits annually, which will require overnight travel through Virginia. Monitor industry best practices in conference hosting, rental venue operations, and concerts. Develop and implement guidelines and training for all aspects of revenue generation outside of retail. Review and recommend fee changes. Minimum Qualifications Ability to apply and communicate knowledge of revenue-generating operations like cabin, campground, conference center, and wedding venue rentals, as well as concerts and other special events. Experience evaluating revenues and expenditures and responding to business fluctuations. Experience establishing revenue and profit goals using data and trends. Experience managing contracts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong financial forecasting and budgeting skills. Experience developing guidelines, rules, and manuals. Experience in business administration or equivalent experience. Additional Considerations Experience with state park venue management. Experience managing multiple types of venue operations. Strong leadership and team management skills.
