Plasma Center Nurse - EMT

Job Description We are hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of Center Physician for medical issues. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. The specialist follows SOPs, provides medical support as needed, and supports employee vaccination programs. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent and medical history interview. Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions, use SOPs for medical emergencies, facilitate donor transport. Refer to Physician or Medical Affairs for medical findings or technical issues. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination for employees. Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health as needed. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate qualification in a recognized nursing program. Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment (EMT-Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Benefits & Compensation Location: USA - FL - Jacksonville U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $22.80 - $31.35 The hourly wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. The actual wage will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.
