Sr. Manager, Clinical Process Engineer

Senior Manager leading clinical process engineering across multiple functional domains at AbbVie. Responsible for designing, optimizing, and sustaining business processes to achieve operational excellence and regulatory compliance within Clinical Development Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process design and optimization across multiple clinical domains with minimal direction
• Serve as primary process engineering resource for business process owners and functional leaders
• Develop process maps, work instructions, and documentation standards ensuring consistency across teams
• Conduct current-state assessments and analyses to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities
• Lead process-to-system translation efforts partnering with technology and business system teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, business, or related field
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
• Minimum 7 years process design, engineering, or improvement experience in regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of clinical development operations and regulatory expectations
• Expert proficiency in process mapping, documentation methods, and scalable process artifacts
• Proven ability to lead complex multi-stakeholder workshops and drive cross-functional alignment
• Advanced analytical skills including root cause analysis and process performance analysis
