Director of Pediatric Neuroradiology

Our organization is seeking a distinguished academic pediatric neuroradiologist to take on the role of Director of Pediatric Neuroradiology. This position offers a remarkable chance to lead and enhance a nationally recognized pediatric neuroradiology service within one of the top children's hospitals in the United States.

Key Highlights:

• The Director will be responsible for providing strategic, clinical, educational, and research leadership for the Pediatric Neuroradiology section within the Pediatric Radiology division.
• Leadership duties will include overseeing all clinical operations, mentoring faculty and trainees, promoting quality improvement, enhancing patient safety, and improving operational efficiency while developing strategic initiatives to boost national recognition.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, and developmental pediatrics, is essential.
• The Director will focus on optimizing advanced imaging techniques such as functional MRI, diffusion imaging, fetal MRI, quantitative neuroimaging, and AI applications in neuroimaging.
• Academically, the Director is expected to maintain a robust record of scholarly work and publications, collaborate with basic scientists at the Pediatric Imaging Research Center (PIRC) and the Department of Radiology, and work with clinical partners at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine to enhance the fellowship training program.
• While grant funding experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
• The successful candidate will significantly contribute to advancing clinical care excellence, fostering innovation in neuroimaging, and supporting the academic mission of the department and institution.

Qualifications:

• MD, DO, or an equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification in Radiology and completion of fellowship training or subspecialty certification (or eligibility) in Neuroradiology or Pediatric Radiology, with a focus on pediatric imaging.
• Eligibility for the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
• Demonstrated leadership experience along with a proven track record in clinical excellence, scholarship, and teaching.
