The CNC Machinist plays a crucial role within a small team, responsible for precision machining tasks following blueprints and maintaining high-quality standards. Reporting to a supervisor, this role operates on regular shifts with potential overtime and requires no travel. The machinist ensures smooth operation of CNC equipment through setup, programming, and maintenance, while complying with safety standards to produce accurate components.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate CNC machines for production runs
- Develop and adjust CNC programs to meet manufacturing specifications
- Inspect finished products to verify quality and adherence to blueprints
- Perform routine machine maintenance and calibrate tools
- Interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
- Handle materials and operate equipment efficiently
- Troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues promptly
- Calibrate precision tools to maintain measurement accuracy

- Experience with CNC programming and machine setup
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
