Description

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations through standardized measures and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing proficiency.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to maintain continuity of patient care throughout their therapeutic journey.
• Ensure meticulous documentation is maintained, adhering to state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Continually engage in professional development through ongoing education and interactions with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
