Production Machine Operator

3rd Shift Production Operator The 3rd Shift Production Operator sets up, operates, and maintains manufacturing machinery used to produce advanced power transmission products. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and consistently meets quality standards. No prior machine operating experience is required; comprehensive training is provided. Responsibilities: Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Work both individually and as part of a team to meet production goals and quality standards. Monitor machines during operation to ensure products meet defined quality requirements. Conduct regular in-process inspections to verify adherence to quality control standards. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments during the production process. Record production data, including production numbers, machine settings, and product quality information. Maintain a consistent level of productivity and quality output while demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement. Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly to maintain a safe work environment. Comply with cross-training and other training requirements to build versatility across production operations. Use a computer to enter production activities into the ERP system as required. Essential Skills: Ability to speak and read English effectively. Ability to read and interpret gauges and accurately record measurements. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and relevant manuals. Ability to stand for an 810-hour shift. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management capabilities. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Basic ability to use a computer for simple ERP data entry. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Prior production or machine operation experience preferred but not required. Experience with inspection activities or quality checks is helpful. In operating, setting up, or supporting manufacturing equipment is a plus. Willingness to participate in cross-training and ongoing skills development. Why Work Here? Work Environment: This is a 3rd shift position, working Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with flexibility to work 12 hours of overtime per day as needed. The role is based in a very clean, modern manufacturing facility focused on producing advanced power transmission lines that are lighter, stronger, and more resistant to environmental degradation than traditional power lines. The work involves standing for most of the shift, operating and monitoring production machinery, and performing manual tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds. Employees use computers for simple ERP data entry and follow established safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
