Chief Information Security Officer

Seeking a hands-on Chief Information Security Officer, the full-time remote role will build and lead the internal security program, ensuring the protection of people, systems, infrastructure, and company data while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective security strategies. Key responsibilities Set and execute the company-wide security strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with risk profiles and customer commitments Drive critical security assessments, control design, and incident response while building a focused internal team Oversee security risk management across identities, endpoints, SaaS applications, and third-party vendors, embedding security into product development processes Required qualifications Proven experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, or equivalent in a high-growth technology company Deep technical expertise in cloud, identity, endpoint, and infrastructure security Experience with security assurance or compliance programs such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP Strong command of incident response, vulnerability management, and secure software development practices Current understanding of security risks associated with AI systems and generative AI usage Virtual Vocations Inc
