Kitchen Manager Job Description Reports to : Child Nutrition Director, Principal Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Length of Contract: 190 Days Hours: 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM (7 HRS/DAY) Salary: $14.37/hr - $18.87/hr Primary Purpose:

- Provides direction to kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties.
- Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with Arkansas health department regulations and food safety regulations.
- Ensures utilization of daily prep sheets
- Participates in the monthly inventory process.
- Anticipates, identifies, and corrects any issues with inventory, systems, and staffing.
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Manager's Certification (Preferred)
- Customer service
- People management, fostering teamwork, and giving feedback
- Planning and multi-tasking
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
- Conflict resolution
- Verbal communication
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Lift and carry for short distances up to 50 lbs in a kitchen setting
- Reach and lower items in a kitchen setting
- Stoop, kneel, bend
- Must be able to safely, physically operate the kitchen equipment.
