Position: Tax Preparer/ Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper


Location: Vancouver, WA


Pay: $55,000 - $65,000 per year


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 or 8:30-5:30 (occasional Saturdays during tax season)

What You'll Do:

• Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065)
• Handle bookkeeping, payroll tax, sales tax, and other monthly accounting tasks
• Reconcile client general ledger accounts
• Identify bookkeeping issues and recommend solutions
• Prioritize workload effectively and manage deadlines
• Work independently while maintaining high accuracy and problem-solving initiative

What You Need to Have:

• 2+ years of experience, preferably in public accounting
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and bookkeeping procedures
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

The Musts:

• Solid tax preparation experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and client service skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with Lacerte tax software
• CPA or CPA candidate
