IT Systems EngineerSG2 Recruiting has partnered with Wind RiverX to identify an IT Systems Engineer who is excited to help build the technology foundation of a fast-growing defense technology company. This is a unique opportunity to join Wind RiverX during a period of rapid growth, where you'll work directly alongside senior infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity professionals to design, implement, and support the company's enterprise IT environment. The successful candidate will help deploy and integrate enterprise technologies including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based infrastructure while supporting secure environments that meet federal and international cybersecurity requirements. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning, solving technical problems, and gaining hands-on experience across systems administration, enterprise applications, cloud technologies, automation, and cybersecurity.What You Will Be Doing:Build Enterprise IT InfrastructureAssisting with the implementation and administration of enterprise IT systems supporting Wind RiverX's internal operationsSupporting enhancements and customization of Salesforce and ServiceNow platformsHelping configure Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and enterprise collaboration technologiesSupporting user identity, authentication, and access managementAssisting with workstation deployment, endpoint management, and device lifecycle activitiesSupport Enterprise ApplicationsConfiguring workflows and integrations between enterprise business systemsDeveloping and maintaining automation using Node.js and APIsSupporting data integration between Salesforce, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platformsTroubleshooting application issues and supporting end usersAssisting with testing, upgrades, and new feature implementationsPartner with Infrastructure and Security TeamsWorking alongside the Network Architect and Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to implement secure enterprise architecturesAssisting with network documentation and systems configurationSupporting cybersecurity control implementation and system hardeningParticipating in vulnerability remediation effortsHelping maintain technical documentation and standard operating proceduresSupport Cloud and Systems AdministrationAssisting with administration of multi-cloud infrastructureSupporting virtualized environments and enterprise storage solutionsMonitoring system performance, availability, and securitySupporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiativesParticipating in incident response and root cause analysisContribute to Continuous ImprovementIdentifying opportunities to automate routine administrative tasksImproving operational processes through scripting and workflow automationStaying current on emerging technologies and cybersecurity best practicesSupporting special IT projects as the company continues to growWhat You Need:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)Approximately 1–4 years of experience supporting enterprise IT environmentsExperience administering Windows environmentsWorking knowledge of Microsoft 365Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID)Experience with Node.jsExperience supporting Salesforce integrations and customizationsExperience supporting ServiceNow integrations and customizationsBasic understanding of REST APIs and system integrationsFamiliarity with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologiesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication and documentation abilitiesU.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain and/or maintain US Government clearanceIt's a Plus If You Have This:Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-171 or CMMCCybersecurity certificationsCloud certificationsExperience supporting government contractors or highly regulated organizationsWhat's In It For You:Join a rapidly growing defense technology company from the ground floorWork directly with experienced architects and cybersecurity professionalsGain hands-on experience implementing enterprise technologiesCompetitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growthAbout Wind RiverXWind RiverX (WRX) delivers secure, resilient software solutions supporting the most critical U.S. defense and national security missions.
