The Florida Panthers enter their 33rd season in 2026-27 as one of the National Hockey League's premier franchises. As back-to-back Stanley Cup champions in 2024 and 2025, the Cats have emerged victorious in 11 of their past 12 postseason series and have captured four Eastern Conference championships. The Panthers are led by President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Bill Zito entering his seventh season, and President of Business Operations Michael White who begins his first full season.

The organization is expanding inside and outside of Amerant Bank Arena via the renovations of the Champions Club Level, the Panther Land store, and The Preserve Club in the arena and the FTL War Memorial in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The state-of-the-art ice facility features two regulation-size rinks, new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

Job Summary: The Barback ensures bars are stocked and ready for each event, as well as assist the Bartenders in delivering exceptional service to bar patrons. This is a part-time, event-based position located within the Food and Beverage Department of the Amerant Bank Arena. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon arena event schedule.

Job Functions: Specific duties included but are not limited to:

• Set the bar up for service, including icing the bars and fruit delivery. Also break it down after event
• Maintain proper products within the bar, meaning correct alcohol brand, correct size beer, etc.
• Understand and execute responsible alcohol service
• Understand and maintain sanitation and food safety as it relates to the food and beverage industry
• Checking draft keg levels throughout assigned areas and change as needed
• Support bartenders as needed
• Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments
• Be comfortable with the arena ad know how to navigate personally, as well as, assist guests
• Support any other Food & Beverage departments as needed
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisors and managers
• Knowledge of Draft Keg system

Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Proven customer service skills
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional organization and prioritization are a must
• Schedule flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to maneuver a keg of beer with fellow team member assistance
• Must be able to perform physical requirement of the position, including lifting to 50lbs and stand/walking for extended periods of time without sitting.
• Works well with others; establishing and maintaining productive relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
• Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level is generally high, crowd traffic is heavy, ambient temperatures are variable - usually cold, and lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights and pyrotechnics

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position is a non-exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
