TEAM LEADER - APPEALS

Responsibilities Universal Health Services (UHS) - Western Region Consolidated Business Office (WCBO) delivers comprehensive insurance revenue services to our affiliated UHS facilities, encompassing billing, collections, cash posting, pre‑access management, variance analysis, and customer service. The Appeals Team Lead oversees the daily operations of the appeals team, ensuring accurate maintenance and timely processing of patient accounts. This role provides hands‑on leadership through training, workflow guidance, and performance feedback to support high‑quality, compliant appeal resolutions. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of experience in medical billing, appeals, or revenue cycle operations Prior leadership or team‑lead experience preferred Strong knowledge of payer guidelines, denial management, and appeal documentation Education: High School or equivalent. Requirements: Train, orient, and support new team members on workflows, systems, and compliance. Manage end‑to‑end appeals, including review, submission, follow‑up, and resolution of denied claims. Partner with billing, collections, revenue cycle teams, and work closely with management to resolve issues and reduce recurring denials.
