As a SAMBAZON Shift Supervisor you will assist the Cafe Manager in leading the store alongside your team members to deliver excellent guest service and beautifully handcrafted Aa bowls, smoothies and other healthy and delicious food products. You will model our store operation standards and bring to life SAMBAZON's Mission and Values in the store. This role will help create a welcoming store environment while making a positive and meaningful impact on every guest. You will guide others and grow your leadership skills as you assign and delegate tasks to maintain an exceptional experience for our guests and team members. The Shift Supervisor can work on a full-time or part-time basis. Hours are flexible and we can work around school or other types of schedules.

Starting base pay for this role is $18.50 per hour. Additional tip earnings at our Bowl Shop average $7-$10 per hour, so your total earnings can be up to $28.50/hour!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are examples of key responsibilities. Duties may change depending on business needs:

• Provides high quality food products and beverages consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipes, presentation standards and health department requirements.
• Anticipates guests and caf needs by evaluating the environment and guests for cues.
• Communicates information to the General Manager so the team can respond as necessary to help to create a welcoming environment.
• Assists with new hire and ongoing training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
• Communicates feedback to the Caf Manager on employee performance during the shift.
• Delivers exceptional customer service to all guests by acting with a guest first attitude and engaging with the guest.
• Develops positive relationships with the team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
• Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Complies with SAMBAZON's operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift.
• Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by the team.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep caf operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.

Education, Experience and Other Skills/Competencies:

• At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more team members.
• High school diploma is preferred.
• Food handler's certification must be obtained in compliance with San Diego County regulations. SAMBAZON will assist with and pay to obtain license.
