Our mission is to provide incredible service and a one-of-a-kind dining experience for our guests. As a Line Cook, you’ll assist in creating menu items and ensuring guests are presented with a meal they can’t receive elsewhere. As you continue to learn, grow, and fuel your passion for food, you’ll find the possibilities at Wegmans are endless.
What You'll Do
- Ensure incredible service is provided by effectively handling a variety of tasks
- Preparing ingredients to be used by the culinary team as well as creating high quality meals
- Follow proper recipes, knife skills and cooking techniques to provide consistent ingredients and finished products
- Balance prep work while ensuring guests meals are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards
- Comply with applicable State Restaurant Health Codes and Regulations
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience working as a line cook
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, open kitchen environment
- Experience working in a fine dining or upscale establishment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient knife skills
