Role Description The Senior Associate General Counsel Assistant is a full-time, on‑site role based in Dallas, TX, supporting the legal department with a broad range of healthcare, corporate, and regulatory matters. This position assists in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements, including those with providers, payers, and manufacturers, to ensure alignment with legal and compliance standards. The role involves researching and analyzing laws and regulations, preparing memoranda, and providing support in developing policies and procedures to manage legal risk. The Senior Associate General Counsel Assistant will help address PBM and payer contracting, labor and employment issues, data privacy concerns, and corporate governance requirements, coordinating with internal stakeholders across operations, HR, compliance, and finance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining legal documentation and files, supporting responses to audits or investigations, and contributing to training materials and communications that promote ethical and compliant practices. Qualifications Strong background in PBM and payer contracting, experience at large PBM, Health Insurance or other Specialty Pharmacy a Plus. Ability to address a broad range of legal issues and provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders. Understanding of data privacy and security requirements, including handling of protected health information and other sensitive data. Familiarity with corporate governance practices, including support for policies, procedures, and organizational compliance frameworks. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred). Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or life sciences industry, particularly in a regulated environment, strongly preferred. Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment. Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting. Collaborative working style, clear written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work with diverse cross‑functional teams.
