Project Scheduler

Project Scheduler- Biotech
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home)
Salary: $160K-$180K (salary depends on experience) 

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to develop, maintain and analyze project schedules for large-cap construction and biotech/GMP projects. The Project Scheduler will establish baselines, track progress, perform critical path and risk analysis, and provide schedule inputs for change management and claims support. This role requires fluency with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, strong technical scheduling skills, and the ability to collaborate with project management, construction teams and stakeholders to keep complex projects on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed CPM schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 for large-cap construction and biotech/GMP projects.
• Create and publish baseline schedules, periodic progress updates and forecast schedules; ensure version control and audit trail for schedule changes.
• Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, resource leveling and schedule optimization to identify potential delays and mitigation strategies.
• Lead schedule risk assessments and perform quantitative schedule risk analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo) to inform contingency and mitigation planning.
• Support change management by analyzing schedule impacts of scope changes, issuing time impact analyses and preparing recovery plans.
• Prepare schedule-related reports, dashboards and presentations for project leadership, owners and stakeholders; translate technical schedule data into clear, actionable insights.
• Provide schedule input and documentation to support construction claims, delay analyses and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate closely with planners, cost engineers, construction managers, commissioning teams and subcontractors to ensure schedule integration and alignment with cost and resource plans.
• Ensure schedules and controls comply with regulatory and industry requirements, including GMP practices in biotech projects.
• Mentor and train project teams on scheduling best practices, tools and standards to improve schedule quality and consistency across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on project scheduling experience on large-cap construction projects; demonstrated experience on biotech/GMP projects preferred.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6 (schedule development, baseline management and earned value integration).
• Experience supporting construction claims, delay analysis, and preparation of time impact analyses for disputes.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling methodology, schedule risk analysis techniques and earned value management (EVM) fundamentals.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements and the unique sequencing and validation activities for biotech/pharmaceutical construction projects.
