JOB TITLE: Revenue Cycle Manager JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for all revenue cycle activities within the Educational Health Center of Wyoming. Supervise assigned staff in the performance of duties; promote best practices and work with revenue cycle staff to implement and maintain revenue cycle policies and procedures and to participate in the implementation of new clinics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee office visits and patient accounts. Resolve revenue cycle issues to identify, analyze and propose resolutions for problems resulting in ADRs(Additional Documentation Requests), denials, or changes that impede timely and accurate billing of services and timely reimbursement for those services. Ensure each clinic complies with revenue cycle policies and procedures. Support and facilitate the process and procedural improvements to the revenue cycle that contribute to favorable financial results and operational efficiencies; communicate infractions with the appropriate parties. Manage, train and monitor the performance of the Medical Billing department staff to include timely Accounts Receivable follow-up and collections, problem-solving, communications with insurances, payment analysis/billing worksheets for invoice creation and write-offs. Monitor outcomes and create competencies to ensure ongoing training is provided. Responsible for monitoring of unbilled Accounts Receivable and assure clinics aging remails are current. Develop procedures to track trends, minimize disruptions, improve workflows and increase collections. Visit clinics to implement and maintain productive relationships and observe center activities, including education, training, physician panel and hospital partner meetings. Participate in implementation of new projects for all Revenue Cycle needs. SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement to meet personal and organizational goals and objectives. Attend and participate in training and other personal professional development activity. COMPETENCIES: Independence Analysis/Problem Identification Work prioritization & Management Teamwork Judgement Consistency MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience: 5 years work-related professional experience, at least 1 year supervisory experience Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Experience Evaluation Minimum experience requirements are evaluated on a full-time equivalent (FTE) basis. Relevant part-time experience will be prorated based on hours worked. For example, two years working an average of 20 hours per week is equivalent to approximately one year of full-time experience. Applicants must include the average hours worked per week for all current and previous positions. Failure to provide this information may affect the evaluation of qualifications. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with billing in a Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Work independently and confidently to accomplish daily tasks Experience with interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB)s Demonstrate ability to meet and maintain department productivity and quality standards Demonstrate ability to accurately code medical records for evaluation and management services, ancillary services, diagnoses for insurance purposes. Demonstrate experience with medical coding and modifiers. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate proficiency with computer skills necessary to complete job duties and must have strong knowledge of computerized billing system in EMR as well as Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Teams.
