Legislative Aide (District 94)

State Representative Meg Weinberger is now accepting applications in her West Palm Beach, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature. The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position may be eligible for virtual work. All virtual district employees must reside and work virtually in Florida. Primary Responsibilities Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures. Calendar and Scheduling Constituent Management Legislative Research Legislative Process Public Relations and Press Releases Stakeholder Relations Designated Tallahassee Staff during Committee Weeks and Session Mandatory Trainings as Assigned Minimum Qualifications An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
