• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day Shift, 8-hour days; 07:3016:00
• Call Requirement: Minimum 7 call days per month. Typical schedule: two call days per week for two weeks each month; one call weekend per month. Additional coverage may be required to meet departmental needs rotated equitably among all staff members. Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type.
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a combo lab (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) position with an approximate 80%/10% split IR being the 80% and other procedure types comprising the remaining 10%. The role requires assisting the provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including scrubbing and circulating IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures. Medication administration is performed by RN only. The call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN. Float requirement is none.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
• Expect and respond to urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type
• Operate and utilize specialized equipment including: Client MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and Client Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System for Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage patient diagnoses including Vice Implants: PPM, ICD

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• IR experience required 90% of procedures are IR
• Scrub skills
• Circulate skills
• Telemetry

Preferred Skills

• Perform EKG lead placement
• ARRT Advanced Certification
• RCES
• RCIS with Medical Experience

Education Requirements

• ACLS certification required
• BCLS certification required
• ARRT or RCIS required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• IR (Interventional Radiology) experience required must have IR experience; 90% of procedures are IR
• Traveler experience: not required
• Locals accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Combo lab environment (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP)
• Urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures expected
• Scheduling per unit needs; no holiday RTO for this role
• Techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed
• Unit orientation: 4080 hours
• Scrubs provided
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Patient age group: Adults and Geriatrics

Important Notes

• RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR.
• Techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until they have completed their Dimensions training.
• No holiday RTO for this role.
