Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role involves providing care for high-acuity patients, including those recovering from cardiothoracic surgery, with complex needs such as Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, TABLO XT, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and other critical interventions. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of employment. The position starts on 08/03/2026.

Job Details:

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care specialty
• Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only)
  • RN License in the state of Texas or a valid compact license
  • One year of experience in a critical care setting preferred, but open to new graduates
  • Previous experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred
• Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred; one year in critical care is preferred but not required.
• Additional Information:
  • All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
  • New hires are precepted by trained staff and must complete organizational and department-specific competency validations.
  • Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.
  • This is a full-time position with one open vacancy, with the start date scheduled for 07/20/2026.
