About the Role:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) Commercial Loan Officer plays a critical leadership role in driving the growth and profitability of the commercial lending portfolio within the organization. This position is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing complex commercial loan transactions that meet the financial needs of diverse business clients across various industries. The SVP will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to assess creditworthiness, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lending with a proven track record of managing complex loan portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, underwriting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to originate and close commercial loans across various industries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Loan Officer (CCLO) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
• Experience working within a large financial institution or regional bank.
• Proficiency with commercial loan management software and financial modeling tools.
• Established network of business contacts and referral sources in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Originate and structure commercial loan transactions, including term loans, lines of credit, and syndicated loans, tailored to client needs.
• Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments to ensure sound lending decisions and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business clients, referral sources, and internal stakeholders to drive loan growth and portfolio quality.
• Collaborate with credit committees and senior management to present loan proposals and obtain necessary approvals.

• Lead and mentor junior lending staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous professional development.
• Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting commercial lending.
