CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) Cardiovascular Surgery ClinicPosition / Specialty: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic at Ashley River TowerHow many patients on average would the traveler be responsible per day? 25-30 patientsShift: Will work 5x8hrs 7:15am-3:45pm Monday-Friday with no weekends and no holidaysIs on-call REQ? NoWill this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities? Yes, dependent on unit's needs. Floating would be rare but if it occurred would be within the same building to either GI Medicine or GI Surgery. Same skills would be needed.Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1.5 yearsFirst-timers accepted: YesDoes not require SC State license. REQ: CMA Certification and BLSCMA Certifications/Registrations REQ: Must be certified through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Health career Association (NHA) or MedCA as a Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)Experience REQ: Epic experienceExperience Preferred: Adult Outpatient Clinic experience, Cardiology knowledge, EKG, Phlebotomy skillsWill be working with a team of RNs/CMAs in the clinic setting. We see a variety of patients with heart and vascular issues, transplant patients, both lung and heart, very complex patient population.
